Demon God
This song is something I came up with for my Creative Writing class. I don’t think it’s much to yell about, but I enjoy it thoroughly and think it’s better than I thought it would be. I figured I’d come up with something much worse though. I admit it’s not perfect but in the end I love the way this came out. I used the song ‘Love is War’ I don’t know exactly who made it, but I really enjoy it so I used the tune for my class assignment. I might tweak it more though… Any way… Here it is. Demon God.
There is a demon at my back,
A cruel ta-un-ting beast that’s looming~
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH——-
Drip-ping~viscous weight-y things
Upon my fragil shoulders.
Oh dear god, are you not here?
It can’t be. You don’t exist. I don’t believe you!
AHH, let me go, don’t you hold this hand
I’ll leave you now, so earthly hands can lay claim to me.
Something so firm, for this damned soul of mine,
I need to hold onto you forever more.
Something so sound… So real and.
So enjoyable that I can never forget you.
So give me life and let me live in peace with my lonesome.
So real and so true “Goodbye my DEMON me.”
I’ll fight for something true, a thing for me to keep from you.
Beneath the sea, I found a drowning man who waited quietly,
Just to die a LONELY death.
So quiet…
That no one could hear his poor lamenting pain.
AHH, it seems he’s given up, his demon, winning!
No-o! Don’t go away from me!

To my own paradise where you and I can go and sleep in peace.
Forever quietly, where no one else can bother us.

So my poor de-mon me, my HEART aches for you
Just leave me here alone, with my newfound peace of mind.
Should I help you out the door? Make the process neat and clean.
